MultiBoot 2k10 is a multi-boot system administrator disk based on the bootloaders BOOTMGR (Windows 8.1.1), Isolinux / Syslinux v.4.06 and Grub4Dos v.0.4.6a. The disk consists of a large number of products, united by a shell, with the ability to boot from CD / DVD, USB Flash Drive, USB-HDD and regular HDD.
The main purpose is to prepare the HDD, install the OS (with the possibility of installing Win 2000 / XP / 2003 / Vista / 7 - WinNTSetup utilities, installation packages are not included in the assembly!), Create / deploy system images, restore / copy data, resuscitate the operating system and boot recovery, cleaning the OS from viruses / trojans and blockers / porn banners, testing the main components of the PC and much more. There is network support with the ability to access the Internet and multimedia support. It is possible to use most of the programs from the assembly as "portable" (they are not fully portable, it's just self-extracting into the TEMP directory with auto-registration) and a convenient way to connect the assembly software package for use in a regular OS or other PE assemblies.
How to create a bootable 2k10 flash drive using Rufus
To create a bootable USB flash drive, you must first format the USB flash drive correctly (so that it is perceived in Bios as a USB-HDD device from which you can boot.
The easiest and fastest way to create a bootable USB flash drive is to use the Rufus utility. We select the USB flash drive (1), the partition scheme (2), the file system (3, FAT32 or NTFS, FAT32 is recommended - as preserving the resource of flash cells), if necessary, change the flash drive label (4). In the formatting parameters according to (5), expand the additional parameters and mark (6.7 - optional, but recommended for older PCs). We mark (8.9), select the build image (10) and remove the bird (11 - so that autorun.inf is not created in the root of the flash drive). Once again, we check the correctness of the choice of the flash drive (1) and the image (12), press Start (13). To speed up the process, you can temporarily disable the antivirus.
After creating the flash drive, it is completely ready for use. But to speed up the boot, it is recommended to connect the desired bootloader using the SetLDR-2k10 utility.
To install the desired bootloader from the 2k10 assembly, after preparing the flash drive, run the SetLDR-2k10 utility from the 2k10 folder.
Some antiviruses / OSs may block installation with the Grub4Dos or BOOTMGR bootloader. If this happens, boot from the assembly to the CD and install the desired one, or perform this operation on another PC (where the antivirus is not so aggressive)!
If the assembly of the previous version is already on the USB flash drive, just delete the 2k10 folder from the USB flash drive and add a new one from the distribution, and then connect the bootloader with SetLDR-2k10 utility.

Install Windows XP / 7/8/10 from the assembly
The assembly provides various ways to install Windows.
Some installation methods, including using add-ons, are described in the 2k10 \ GRUB4DOS \ WINXP.txt file, as well as in 2k10 \ Programs-2k10 \ -Help- \ 2k10-FAQ.chm. Consider one of them.
Installing Windows 7/8/10 from a flash drive from the _WIN \ folder
To do this, place the Windows installation distributions in the appropriate folders:
_WIN, _ISO, 2k10 \ User.WindS - for unpacked distributions.
_WIN, _ISO, 2k10 \ User.Image - for disk images.
Download and unzip the addon ~ 2k10-WIN7-10 ~ to a USB flash drive / HDD.
The _WIN \ addon folder must be at the root of the bootable USB flash drive / HDD.
The _WIN \ folder with the Windows installation files / images can be located separately in the root of any drive / partition of your HDD / USB-HDD.
We extract the install.wim / install.esd / install.swm file from the Sources folder from our Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10 (x32 / x64) image to the appropriate addon subfolder according to the Windows 7/8/10 edition:
for Windows 7 x86 ---> _WIN \ 7x32 folder
for Windows 7 x64 ---> _WIN \ 7x64 folder
for Windows 7 x86-x64 ---> _WIN \ 7AIO folder
for Windows 8 x86 ---> _WIN \ 8132 folder
for Windows 8 x64 ---> _WIN \ 8164 folder
for Windows 8 x86-x64 ---> _WIN \ 8AIO folder
for Windows 10 x86 ---> _WIN \ 1032 folder
for Windows 10 x64 ---> _WIN \ 1064 folder
for Windows 10 x86-x64 ---> _WIN \ 10AIO folder
Drop, if any, the $ OEM $ folder and the unattend.xml file (relevant for Windows builds).
In the menu / submenu Grub4Dos -> "DOS-installation of Windows" add-on will appear automatically.
It is also registered in the BCD-menu and EFI BCD-menu.
These subfolders are registered in the installation startup scripts in boot8x86.wim and in boot8x64.wim. If you do not have enough of these subfolders, then by their example you can add your subfolders (with their names) to your Windows distributions and then run additional installations using the 78Setup or WinNTSetup utility. After adding the install.wim / install.esd / install.swm installation file to these folders, in the text file install.wim.txt / install.esd.txt / install.swm.txt write the name of your installation and these names will appear in list in the 78Setup utility window.
Other installation files install.wim / install.esd / install.swm (which, for example, are located in a completely different folder on a completely different partition or disk) can be selected and run in the utility window using the button: "Select archive manually".
Add your images (.iso) of installation disks to the _WIN, _ISO, 2k10 \ User.Image folder and these images will be displayed in the list in the 78Setup utility window. Other images can be selected, mounted and launched in the utility window using the button: "Select image manually."
Note:
For Windows installations, two boot8x86.wim and boot8x64.wim bootloaders are used.
Using the (x86) bootloader, Windows of any capacity is installed from any subfolder (only in the Legacy BIOS boot mode).
Using (x64) bootloader, only (x64) -bit Windows is installed (in Legacy BIOS boot mode and EFI / UEFI boot mode).
In EFI / UEFI boot mode, using the boot8x64.wim bootloader, you can install only (x64) -bit Windows and only on a GPT-marked drive.
If you do not need an installation in EFI / UEFI boot mode, then you can generally use only the (x86) boot8x86.wim bootloader for all installations.
Differences from the author's assembly
The unofficial version differs from the original in design and content (some utilities are added that the author considers redundant for assembly / deleted in the author's version or were not included in it), Linux utilities are left, the set of dos utilities is slightly different, there is a gopher menu, in assemblies WinPE left by Acronis Backup & Recovery, games removed. Also, usually in the unofficial version includes all copyright updates (at the time of unofficial build).
